With the singular goal of creating a landmark that will immortalize Dona Consuelo “Chito” Madrigal’s legacy in the Bikol region, the construction of the Madrigal Center for Social Entrepreneurship continues with masterful implementation of the well-designed plan. Now 75% complete, the MCSE promises to be a hub of excellence for social entrepreneurship.
The MCSE will provide trainings for micro-entrepreneurs and avenues for hands-on learning through the production and workshop area. An 80-bed dormitory, located in the 3rd and 4th floors, aims to further provide holistic formation for the Madrigal Scholars – a significant follow-through of their academic training.
The offices of the Bikol Branch will be housed at the 2nd floor while a multimedia auditorium, conference facilities, a coffee shop and a display center will be located at the 1st floor.
Located in the Ateneo de Naga University campus, the MCSE marks the partnership between the Madrigal Foundation and the Ateneo de Naga University for Bikol development.
In its drive to inspire more Bikolanos toward self-reliance and ingenuity, CCMF Bikol Branch is designing a program that will effectively build social entrepreneurial capabilities of Bikolano communities. The Madrigal Center will serve as an exponent in ensuring the social entrepreneurship program’s effectiveness and success.
