Fr. Vidz Gornez has started to make the rounds in the region as CCMF-Bikol visits implementing partners and their respective clients. Fr. Vidz, who has recently joined the CCMF-Bikol Team, interviews clients from each partner agency to determine how they have benefited from CCMF-Bikol’s livelihood and housing programs.
In the initial talks with clients, they attest that the livelihood program’s microfinance has helped them in providing more capital for their small businesses. With the easy repayment plan and low interest, they are able to better manage their budget. Several interviewees have been microfinance clients for years. They confirm that the loan significantly assisted their business. They are happy that through CCMF-Bikol, more microfinance loans are available to qualified borrowers. Some clients say that with the dire economy, they need to double their efforts to keep their business growing. They are optimistic that through microfinance, their business can continue to help provide for their family’s needs.
